Billy Connelly & Harry Hill Have they crossed the line or are the Bigley family and press loosing the head over this one?
didn't know harry hill had said anything....but its not the 1st or last time billy will say something controvertial!
Harry Hill did a Big Yin mock sketch on his show the other night and is coming in for some major criticism from the Bigley family. Connelly was slated in the press for slagging the family ata live show and was reportedly booed. It was down south though
fucks sake... im starting to think this message board is becoming more and more an fair representation of the people that live in this country by the day... let him say whatever wants!
im reffering to the namby pamby mollycoddling nature of this board... - the second people express an opinion thats slightly controversial they get shot down in a very OTT manner which you rarely see when you actually meet these people face to face... i.e. everyones becoming BRI.
This nation is becoming woefully obsessed with singular 'tear jerking' incidents, moreso than it is with real problems like Sri Lanka, Chechnia, Haiti and all the other actual crises out there. In itself the whole Kenneth Bigley thing aint pretty, but the whole media frenzy over it and the fact we held the government to blackmail tactics to waste money going after a single man to make us all feel better about ourselves... took the whole emotion out of it for me. As such, i would definately laugh at a Kenneth Bigley joke if it was funny and said in the right way - The masses should boo themselves for being so fvcking stupid and moving like a herd of cows from one half issue to the next, .... before they boo a comedian. My take anyhow.
But the way he has came out with it straight away, someone high profiled like Billy Connelly shouldn't be doing it imo. It's obvious jokes are going to come round about it, but surely he can make people laugh in other ways than that. I think it's in bad taste imo for him to be doing it, it must be fucking horrible for his family to be reading about this in the paper so soon after it's happened. Just my opinion, Bri had no input in this!
You can see both side of what Billy Connelly said..... "I wish they'd hurry up and get on with it" 1. Its shocking what he said and will have hurt his family someone saying that. 2. Its inevitable its only putting the family through more pain by dragging it out and prolonging it.
