Koyaanisqatsi Anyone else agree that this is the most beautifully shot film in the history of cinema? Granted, Baraka might come close, but the simple fact that a film with no dialogue at all has so many people saying what a masterpiece it is 20 years after it's release speaks for its self. It's suitable for anyone who is willing to think about a film whilst watching it. Only hope that Tyneside cinema decide to show it some day. Would love to see it on a big screen.
ermm... On the screens at the last Quality they were showing some stuff which looked similair. Speeded up images of cars at night etc. Looks class.
Nope, just the perfect marriage between photography and music. Didn't think it would keep my interest for an hour and a half. I was wrong!
Re: Koyaanisqatsi think I saw this years ago and been wanting to see it again.... is it the one with various city scapes speeded up and stuff, then goes off to mountains and skys and so on... no plot no dialogue just music. must be the same one cos I can't imagine there's another like it. totally mesmerising where was it on? looks like I missed it
Re: Re: Koyaanisqatsi Yeah thats it. There's three of them. The third film in the trilogy (Naqoyqatsi) was released last year, but haven't seen it yet. I got it on DVD from HMV. Was only £10 for Koyaanisqatsi and its sequel Powaqaatsi. Another film which is very similair is Baraka. I think a new camera was invented to get some the high quality shots. Koyaanisqatsi
