Off work sick, help needed.....? My dilemma is this..... I have an infection in my mouth around my wisdom teeth on the left side of my face, it is swollen and is restricting the movement so therefore i am unable to speak properly....i am a call centre agent and therefore a bit pointless me going in to work. I cant close my teeth there is a gap of approx 1/2 an inch due to the swelling, but also i cant open it further than 3/4 of an inch!!!! Not only this but my face feels as though it has been hit with a sledge hammer, the infection has been seeping down my throat, thus giving me a swollen throat and not being able to swallow very well...and my ear canals have been effected some how as my hearing isnt what it should be..... ANYWAY, how the fuck do i phone in sick if i cant speak????

my boss requires you to call in so they can verify your reasons for being off and make sue you arent lying...no e-mail address
Well they can't bitch at you if you have a sicknote - get one, then when you can get in, let your boss see how bad you are, and they can decide for themselves.
i was in yesterday and i had to do post all day cos i was finding it hard to speak but today it's worse....i think if i text her she'll understand....sicknote??? i dont have a doctors so a sicknote is not an option
get someone to call in for you, and if he asks to speak to you then go on the phone even if youre unable to speak, this will prove that youre unable to come to work
my friends work with me so i'll just get them to tell her when they get in...she cant really expect me to call when i cant speak...not even she is that thick...is she?????? errrrrrr the infection is quite acidic and through swallowing it i feel like i have acid indigestion!

I would say go anyway BUT having lost my voice at Riot and then having to go to Wildchild and Twist with NO voice whatsoever, not even so much as a squeak I can safetly say its the most annoying thing EVER Having to order drinks n having conversations by writing it on ya phone proper does ya swede in I felt like such a tit
if it was just that i couldnt speak it wouldnt be that bothered, i would even still go to work and just do post.....it's the pain
