Possible ways for internet sites to charge you premium rates I was just wondering how many ways there are for sites to charge you for premium rate calls or content without you knowing. Fair enough u have dialers that are stuck on your desktop etc without u choosing to have them there, but they only charge if u click them. I once got a big phone bill for premium rate porn and i swear to god i never did it! Sometimes when i've downloaded a video clip (whether it be porn of a funny video ) it doesnt let u see it till u've aquired a license. Does this ever cost money? and is it possible for you to be charged for going on any sites? (small programs auto downloaded without u knowing, that connect or something?)
nothing specific And I dont go on porn sites.. I hate all that staged garbage. What kinda woman starts screaming "oooooh ooooh yes!" after you brush past her muff with your finger. It's ridiculous! I'd say "look you stupid wench, I'm not dumb, don't play with my emotions here by faking it already, I am capable of pleasuring you just give it a couple of minutes at least!" Can't say I haven't downloaded the odd porn clip from time to time though It also happens with funny vids too.. this window pops up asking u if ur 18 blah blah and u need to click a button to get the play button to appear thus acquiring the license. This worries me incase it's a trick to make u pay for it.
class . do not pay for anything. if its asking for money,authorisation,proof of age or any unworthy information it is a trick. post the exact phrase or pop up it uses it wont take long before someone says theve heard it before or know a way round it
its a window that pops up in windows media with a faded-out 'play' button and a cancel button that asks u if ur 18 and there's a button tht says 'I am over 18'. Once clicked the page changes and the 'play' button in that window is now clickable and it plays the video. Whilst this is happening the track title reads 'acquiring license' I've clicked the buton etc and then the video plays and i have done in the past.. as far as i know its just an age warning but it all seems a bit sinister to me. Never noticed any bills before though.
